Introducing the new GroupDocs dashboard and document viewer
We're about to launch a new GroupDocs dashboard and document viewer. We have overhauled the look and feel of the tools to make them more intuitive to use. At the moment, we're adding the final touches and making sure that everything works just so. The changes will be live in the next few weeks.
Here's what will change when the new dashboard goes live:
- GroupDocs dashboard
- Easier navigation from breadcrumb.
- Applications available from the Dashboard menu.
- Drag and drop to upload documents.
- Sort to find documents quickly.
- GroupDocs Viewer
- Improved look and feel.
I'll describe each of the new features in more detail below.
Easier document management with the new dashboard
GroupDocs is used by small to medium companies for document management: storing, sharing, collaborating on, signing and assembling documents. Our users don't have much time so it is important that GroupDocs is easy to use and quick to learn. We're about to change the dashboard and document viewer to make them easier to use.
- See who documents are shared with and
- when they were last modified,
- see their size, file format and name.
- Quick and easy document conversion.
- Upload documents by simply dropping them into the drop files area.
Easier navigation
We've added a bread crumb trail to the GroupDocs dashboard so that it is easier to navigate your folders. Click the folder name to go to it directly.
Access applications from the Dashboard menu
GroupDocs' various applications - GroupDocs Annotation, GroupDocs Assembly, GroupDocs Comparison, GroupDocs Signature and GroupDocs Viewer - are now available from the Dashboard menu. It is convenient to have access to all the tools from one central place on the GroupDocs dashboard.
Drag and drop to upload documents
To upload documents, simply drag them from a file browser and drop them in the drop files area of the GroupDocs dashboard. The files are automatically uploaded to the current folder.
Sort documents
Organize your documents the way that suits you best by sorting them. By default, files are sorted in alphabetical order according to file name. You can change the order they are listed in by clicking column headers.
Improved document viewer look and feel
The new, improved document viewer, GroupDocs Viewer, makes it even easier to navigate the document. It also makes it easier to access the GroupDocs tools. Navigate by clicking thumbnails to move from one page to another, or find a page in a range. Magnify or shrink the document view from the Magnify button.
